Prior to getting Abingdon Computing Essentials running on a full time basis, I had been tutoring in the Computing section at Waiariki Institute of Technology for 23 years.
Training I have successfully delivered since Abingdon Computing Essentials started in August 2009:-
- Rotorua District Council, Rotorua – 450 staff taken through 3 levels of transition from Microsoft Windows XP to Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2010 using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook over a 12 month contract period.
- Scion, Rotorua – 350 staff taken through 3 levels of transition from Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2007 using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strettons Accounting, Taupo – 100 staff taken through transition from Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2007 using Word and Excel.
- Rotorua Chamber of Commerce, Rotorua – an on-going series of training programs writtren and delivered using the Microsoft Office suite:- Word - Introduction, Intermediate & Advanced; Excel - Introduction, Intermediate & Advanced; and PowerPoint - Intermediate. - VetPlus, Rotorua, Reporoa & Taupo – staff taken through 2 levels with Microsoft Excel.
- Dimonds, Rotorua – staff Getting Started with Microsoft Excel.
- Waratah, Rotorua – staff Getting Started with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- GNS Science, Wairakei – scientists Getting Started with Microsoft Access.
- Carter Holt Harvey - InfoTech, Rotorua & Auckland – staff with Intermediate Microsoft Excel.
- Personnel Resources, Rotorua – One on One training for a variety of their clients in up-skilling with Microsoft Office products.
- Mokioa Community Association - several evening classes at an introductory level for folks to gain confidence in using the computer.
- ACC and Workbridge - clients for remedial computer training.
- Computer Training Suite - many clients with various topics in the Getting Started series
- Numerous other clients with hands on One on One training as they needed it. This is with a variety of computing programs, file management, preventative maintenance, email and internet use.
